Our Story

Started With One Jump Pack in Seminole Heights

Tampa Mobile Battery Repair started the way most good local businesses start — one van, one tech, and a phone that kept ringing. A neighbor's car died in a Seminole Heights driveway one August morning, a quick jump and a battery test turned into a new battery installed on the spot, and word got around.

Today our vans cover all of Hillsborough County plus Pasco County and Lakeland, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week — and we still come to you, wherever the car is sitting. The core hasn't changed: show up fast, test before we sell, and install it right the first time.

What We Stand For

Four Things Our Tampa Crew Doesn't Bend On

⏱

Show Up Fast

30 to 60 minutes on most Tampa calls. We give a real ETA on the phone and stick to it. No "sometime this afternoon" windows.

$

Price On the Phone

The number we say on the call is the number you pay in the driveway. No fuel surcharge. No after-hours fee. No surprise "core charge."

✓

Test Before We Sell

Every job starts with a digital battery and charging-system test. If you don't need a new battery, we won't sell you one.

Real People Answer

Tampa-based dispatchers. We know I-275 traffic, which parking decks have low clearance, and which part of Brandon is closer than which part of Riverview.

Why Mobile, Not a Parts Store

Your Car Can't Drive to the Store — So We Drive to It

That's the whole problem with a dead battery. The car that needs the part is the car you'd use to go get it. So you're stuck asking a neighbor for a jump, catching a ride to a parts counter, hauling a 40-pound battery back, and wrestling with corroded terminals in a Florida parking lot.

Our vans carry everything that process needs — a commercial jump pack, a digital battery and charging-system tester, terminal cleaning gear, memory savers to protect your radio and computer settings, and new batteries in the most common group sizes. The only thing missing is the trip.

That's the whole pitch. We bring the battery to the car so you don't have to bring the car anywhere.

From the owner: "If the test says your battery is fine, we'll tell you — even if it means we only charge for a jump. We'd rather earn the next call than sell a battery nobody needed."

What Sets Our Tampa Bay Crew Apart From a Motor Club

  • Owner-operated. Every van is run by someone whose name you can learn. No franchise royalties baked into your battery price.
  • We actually carry batteries. A lot of roadside programs can only jump you. We can jump, test, and replace in the same visit.
  • Tampa-specific knowledge. Summer heat kills batteries here in two to four years instead of five. We know which vehicles hide the battery under a seat or in the trunk, and we bring the right tools for them.
  • We tell you when it's not the battery. If the alternator, starter, or a parasitic drain is the real problem, we'll show you the test results and point you to an honest shop.

Our Service Standard on Every Tampa Battery Job

Every replacement ends the same way: terminals cleaned and protected, hold-down secured, charging system verified, test printout and warranty info sent to your phone, and the old battery taken for recycling. If anything about the install feels off in the next 30 days, we come back and look at it for free.

We're not perfect. Sometimes traffic ruins an ETA. Sometimes an uncommon battery size has to be picked up first. When that happens we tell you, fast, and we make it right.

Where Our Vans Roll Every Day

Dispatch sits in central Tampa. From there, vans cover the city of Tampa, suburbs like Brandon and Westchase, Pasco communities like Wesley Chapel, and east along I-4 to Lakeland. Old batteries ride back with us for recycling — here's how our battery warranty works.

What Tampa Bay Drivers Say About Us

★★★★★
Honest service. The tech tested my battery, showed me it was still good, and found a loose negative cable instead. Tightened it, cleaned the terminals, charged me the small fee, and left. Most places would have sold me a battery.

Car wouldn't start at 11 PM. Quoted on the phone, paid exactly that. Tech showed up in 40 minutes, swapped the battery in 15, and even reset my radio presets. No upsell, no nonsense.

My neighbor recommended them after her battery died in the driveway. Now I tell everyone. Tampa-owned, real people, and they actually take the old battery with them.
